An excerpt:
Conklin lies
Ken Conklin has another letter in the Star-Bulletin today about the Akaka bill, saying "... the Grassroot Institute survey... phoned 10,000 residents and found 67 percent of respondents saying 'No.'"
Here's an earlier post I made analyzing this survey and demonstrating that this statement is not accurate, because to arrive at the 67% number one has to leave out those 22% who didn't respond to this particular question at all, and when they are included, only 52% actually said they were against the bill. There is a big difference between two-thirds and one-half.
My point isn't to argue levels of support for the Akaka bill, as the polls on both sides are probably flawed in one way or another (and I don't support the bill anyway).
My point is to show, once again, that Ken Conklin spreads false information.
And since I know that Ken reads (and posts comments) here and is aware of my analysis of this poll, I can only conclude that he continues to do so knowingly and intentionally.
